How many wall tiles do I need?
Enter the area you are tiling and the size of a single tile in millimetres, and the calculator works out how many tiles cover it, adding 10% for cuts and the odd breakage. Because tiles come in every size from small metro tiles to large format, entering the exact dimensions is what makes the count right.
Buy the wastage margin in the same batch and keep a few spares: replacements bought later often come from a different production run with a slightly different shade. Tile adhesive and grout are worked out from coverage on the bag rather than tile count.
