Material Calculator is a set of free calculators that tell you how much material to order for common UK garden, landscaping and building jobs, from gravel and concrete to turf, fencing and paint. Everything runs in your browser with no sign-up. The figures are based on standard UK trade densities, coverage rates and pack sizes, but they are estimates to help you order, not exact specifications: ground conditions, wastage and how materials settle all vary, so always add a margin and confirm with your supplier before buying. The site is funded by advertising and, where relevant, product recommendations.
