How many fence panels and posts do I need?
Standard UK fence panels are 1.83 m (6 ft) wide, and a run needs one more post than panels, because every panel sits between two posts. Enter the total length of your fence and the calculator gives the panels, posts and gravel boards, plus a rough postmix figure at about two bags per post.
Measure the full run and remember posts add their own width, so round the panel count up. Concrete gravel boards under each panel keep the timber off wet ground and last far longer. Set posts in postmix and let it go off before hanging the panels.
